new home

We have a new home. We have more light, bigger windows and unbelievably different soundscape (or how should i call the "landscape" we hear?). I love it, though it still is messy.

Moving was harder than i remembered, i still feel pretty much exhausted. There even was a day without knitting, can you believe?

gray as the day

Here is my Gray as the Day Cardigan, my version of the Mrs. Darcy Cardigan. I have seen a few gorgeous versions of this wonderful pattern and wanted to try out, even though i was a bit afraid of succeeding with this one. There was no need for that! I loved the pattern, it was a super quick to knit and the result is really elegant and lady-like. Now i have just the right cardigan to wear every single gray day to come - and i think we still have a few ahead us.

sweet dream

I did knit it. The Favorite Scarf for me and i do love it. I've worn it every single day since i finished it and it's not even cold here anymore. I love the light gray color and the texture that comes from holding two yarns together.

Yarn: Novita 7 Veljestä ja Rose Mohair, held together

for cold days

Now there's frost on the ground and freeze in the air. Real winter has arrived, only we're missing all the wonderful white snow. My favorite scarf, Christmas-present for my husband, was right on time!

It's the warmest, fluffiest and most comforting scarf i've ever seen or made. I love it. And he likes it too.

Pattern: Vanilla by Sarah Hatton.
Yarn: Novita 7 Veljestä and unknown mohair held together
Needles: 6mm

welcome 2009

Goodbye colorful and happy 2008 and welcome 2009.

There is my whole year in that one collage, would you believe? Strange how the years seem to speed up, i feel like the time is passing way too fast. I'm happy to see my boys grow, it's the best thing too see how they change - but there's something blue in all this as well.

I'm wishing you all a happy new year!
